first paper over, it was okay. a bit shaky, considering how i haven't taken a proper exam in a year. i had no exams in the states, coincidentally all the classes i took only required me to turn in final papers. i didn't choose them as such:p

i don't feel like studying anymore tonight but i have a paper on monday. hence the dawdling online.

a beautiful pair of earrings came in the mail today. i am going through my freshwater pearl phase right now...but i also love the sterling silver beadcaps that top each pearl. so exquisite. eyeing another pretty pair...sigh.

i just had a brainwave!!

baby blue eyeliner, perhaps juxtaposed with a dark eyeshadow (preferably in chocolate brown).

ok i was staring at a photo of keri russell who was featured in lucky magazine and they had this close up shot of her...she is just so amazingly pretty and her eyes were lined in violet.

tonight's rants are uncharacteristically frivolous.

i'm trying to peel myself away from kate spade's lovely 2008 organizer, telling myself that the USD20 price tag is not worth it.

i've also wandered over to the bag section where something lovely caught my eye. and then i told myself that the price tag (USD275) is too hefty for the material (oxford nylon trimmed with patent calfskin leather).

i hope my sensibility wins.

long day at school. i took awhile to fall asleep last night and had to wake up earlier today to go to school to do a project. i think i must have wasted 4 hours of my time trying to figure out how to use the video editing machine that is old but expensive. the only thing we managed to do was to black a tape and decide what bits of the recording we wanted (ie where to start and stop).

so drained and frustrated now, and nursing a tension headache too. had one deadline extended and thankfully so, though i would like to get it done and over with as quickly as possible so i can get started on studying for the exams.

bagged a lovely pleated clutch off Etsy today. am pleased with my purchase and i must admit that of late i have developed a penchant for pleats be it on clothes or purses. :)

fash bash



there, saturday went by just like that. it poured for the most part of the day, right when i was about to step out of the house. which translated to my having to book a cab and then no thanks to heavy traffic, racked up a heft cab fare.

genny and i were headed to fash bash and while we did not end up with any fabulous purchases like $5 hermes scarves, we had each other for company (which translates to alot of fun and craziness) and scored a goodie bag with awesome treats inside. i loved fash bash the first time i went there last year and i was really excited about it after reading the list of vendors, now it's just too crowded and the new space is too crammed. and there were way too many overpriced accessories.

post bazaar was lunch at miss clarity cafe. i'd a bacon and sausage pasta casserole and my clarity staple, the bread and butter pudding. came home, snuggled under the blanket and slept the rest of the afternoon away. which was really quite a waste cuz saturdays are precious but ohh the weather was dreadful.

now it's time for supper (milk, chocolate, muffin) and a book:)
